The Blood Whisperer

1 Mins read

Good authors are confident enough to leave an established character behind, and introduce a new one. Zoë Sharp fits that bill. After establishing bodyguard and investigator Charlie Fox as a readers’ favourite, she now brings us forensics expert Kelly Jacks. Jacks has a past, which includes imprisonment for manslaughter, but her years behind bars have given her a unique edge, and when she is wrongly implicated in a very modern murder, she ‘goes native’, and takes on both her ill-informed police colleagues, and some very nasty London villains. Kelly Jacks is damaged and she has history, which is very bad news for those who underestimate her. She can be ruthless and match violence with even greater violence when needs must, and as she dominates the action, this is a ‘must-read’. Read the full review here.
