Look who’s writing for us XI

1 Mins read

Today we’re welcoming a brand new writer to the Crime Fiction Lover team. Andre Paine is a journalist based in London who regularly covers music, the arts and entertainment. But his true passion behind all that is books, and crime books in particular. Patricia Highsmith, Fred Vargas, Kate Atkinson, Marco Vichi and Henning Mankell rank among his favourite authors. Watch for his first review on our site tomorrow – it’s a big one!

Previously, Andre has been reviewing pop and rock concerts for Evening Standard for several years, and also worked for Billboard. He follows the book trade closely and writes about books and authors for the Clerkenwell Post magazine. Recent interviews include Christopher Fowler and Anthony Horowitz, as well as the inspirational publishing veteran Anthony Cheetham, CEO of Head of Zeus who previously worked closely with Ian Rankin and was part of the team that signed up Stieg Larsson’s Millennium trilogy at Quercus.

And good-bye…
At the same time as welcoming Andre to the team, we are saying farewell, for the time being at least, to MyBookishWays. Yes, our Texan star Kristin Centorcelli has taken a step back from the site for personal reasons. But we hope this is only a sabbatical and that she’ll be back with us at some point in the future.

Please join us in giving Andre a big warm welcome, and saluting Kristin’s amazing articles, including her highly successful piece on serial killer novels.
