Thin Ice

1 Mins read

Quentin Bates brings us a delightful romp of a chiller, with a story line nicely balanced between the point of view of the criminals and the police. A catalogue of errors, from a missing getaway car, to kidnappers running out of petrol, to inquisitive neighbours, plus the usual no-nonsense approach of Officer Gunnhildur make this a humorous yet also suspenseful read. Iceland isn’t always the country you think of when it comes to road trip crime stories, maybe that’ll change now thanks to Bates’ latest novel. Read the review here.
