It’s a case of spook against spook as the CIA and British intelligence began spying on each other in David McCloskey‘s London Station, out on 29 September. A new administration in the US leads to a change of CIA leadership and the incoming boss has little time for cosy relationships with their cousins over the Atlantic. That’s a problem for newly installed London Chief of Station, Artemis Procter, and things get even more tense when agents from both services begin dying. Expect plenty of inside information from this author, who is a former CIA agent himself.

QUANT by Anthony Bidulka
Award-winning Canadian author Anthony Bidulka returns on 30 September – and so does his creation, Russell Quant, the world-travelling, wine-swilling, wise-cracking, winsomely gay, Canadian prairie PI. The appropriately titled QUANT opens with Russell facing grave family matters and personal challenges that lead him back to his hometown of Howell, Saskatchewan, where all is not well.
