Hermit

1 Mins read
Hermit by SR White front cover

The rich vein of crime writing currently coming out of Australia continues with this debut by SR White – a Brit now living in Queensland – and it deserves its place among the best. Hermit is a dark and claustrophobic tale, with much of the action taking place in an interview room, where detective Dana Russo is trying to get through to Nathan Whittler, a strange and lonely soul caught literally red handed, standing over the body of the owner of an out of the way general store. Nathan has his issues, but so does Dana – for as we first meet her, she is standing at the top of a waterfall, contemplating suicide… A unique and hugely satisfying read. Read our full review here.
