The Cartel

1 Mins read

thecartelaudio200Sometimes truth is stranger – or in this case, more ghastly – than fiction, and Don Winslow doesn’t attempt to improve on the unbelievable everyday brutality and mind-numbing violence of Mexico’s drug business. The Cartel is the sequel to The Power of the Dog, and in it DEA man Art Keller attempts to bring to justice a cartel boss who has escaped from prison. In doing so he discovers the frightening depths to which the criminal hawks have sunk their talons into everyday American society. Corruption, fear and pure evil dog Keller’s every step, as he rages against the incompetence of the government’s attempts to deal with the plague on their southern doorstep. This audiobook is read by Ray Parker, and our original review is here.
