The Bleeding Heart

1 Mins read
BryantMayBleedingHeart200

The latest Bryant & May mystery written by Christopher Fowler brings us yet another excellent read, and a baffling case for the Peculiar Crimes Unit. First, there’s the politics – PCU has been put under the jurisdiction of the City of London and its new head sees it as another rung on her career ladder. That’s the sort of thing you expect in today’s world, but what you don’t expect is to see corpses rising from the grave, which is what two teens have reported. When one of these boys then dies in a suspected hit and run, it’s just the first in a string of deaths. So why is Bryant being tasked with finding the ravens that have gone missing from the Tower of London?

Excellent characters, another wonderfully peculiar case, and yet a fresh storyline that more than keeps this excellent ongoing series at the forefront of dark, suspenseful yet wryly funny crime fiction. Read the full review here.
