First Look: The Pinnacle by Abir Mukherjee

1 Mins read

Having previously written historical mysteries set in 1920s Calcutta, Abir Mukherjee changed track in 2024 and came up with Hunted – a thriller set in the United States with an explosive, toxic politics-infused plot line. He slam dunked it, winning Thriller of the Year at the British Book Awards in 2025, and the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award at Harrogate the same year.

Now he’s back with a new contemporary thriller that, taking the above into account, demands our attention. Below, you can watch our video first look at The Pinnacle, which takes us into the heart of Bollywood where a leading lady lies dead and her American husband is a chief suspect. Take a gander at a few pics of our advance reading copy too.

Guarantee your copy of The Pinnacle when it arrives on 18 June 2026 with one of our Amazon links below. If you do, you’ll be helping support our site. Thank you!
