November Road

1 Mins read

Edgar award winner Lou Berney’s latest stand-alone thriller has already appeared on numerous best of 2018 lists, including from two of our own contributors. November Road is the story of a man and a woman, with very different backgrounds, thrown together in Las Vegas in the aftermath of the Kennedy Assassination. It manages to be at different times tender, touching, thrilling and bleak. Other than one of the most memorable endings of recent years, the particular highlight is the sympathetic portrait of a gangster finding his humanity and a mother exploring her new-found independence.
