The Dead House

1 Mins read

DeadHouse300Each of Harry Bingham’s Fiona Griffiths novels has received five stars here on Crime Fiction Lover, and we reckon they better start giving the Cardiff-based author some awards – and fast! This time our investigator, who has the unusual condition of Cottard’s disease – is off her home turf. She’s up in the Welsh valleys looking into the discovery of a body in an old ‘dead house’ – a chamber in a church where bodies were laid pre-burial in times long gone. Did the dead woman meet a natural end, or was it more sinister? Fiona’s investigations take her to an ancient Welsh monastery, where things get even creepier.

Brilliant characterisation, an edge-of-your-seat plot, and a setting to die for. Read the full review here.
