Out of Bounds

1 Mins read

OutofBounds300This new Val McDermid novel is a great achievement – not just for her fantastic writing, but because it is the Scottish author’s 30th crime book and she’s showing no signs of wear and tear. Things get underway with a joyride, and one member of the car thieving team ends up in hospital in a coma. A DNA test reveals a surprising connection between the young Ross Garvie and an unsolved rape case in Glasgow 20 years earlier. DCI Karen Pirie and DC Jason Murray find themselves on the trail of a man who thought he’d gotten away scot free. Meanwhile, in a second case a man with mental health issues is found dead on a park bench. It’s a case that puts Pirie on edge. And, you’ll be on edge two as you make your way through the excellent multi-layered plot.
