Crime Fiction Lover

And the winner is…

Congratulations to John Sturm of Whitley Bay in the Northeast of England. His post was picked randomly from over 40 sent in when we asked readers of our site to name their favourite crime fiction book of the last year. John is being sent a collection of five wonderful crime titles from Myrmidon Books which include:

The Painted Messiah by Craig Smith
The Spy Who Came for Christmas by David Morrell
Bulletproof Suzy by Ian Brotherhood
The Stone Gallows by C David Ingram
Thirteen by Sebastian Beaumont

“Looking forward to the books, can’t believe I won! Thanks!” says John.

What was his favourite book of the year? Well actually he was a little vague, expressing a love for Wallander books, novels by Sue Grafton and Jo Nesbo’s The Leopard. But we can’t be too picky. We wanted people to take part and we thank everyone who shared their opinions on crime books and entered the draw. Thank you also to Myrmidon Books for supplying such a fantastic prize.

You can see what everyone who posted a comment said here. Watch for a story tomorrow where we’ll break down the results and announce CFL’s top five books based on the opinions of visitors to our site and the people who write for it.
