The Bone Tree by Greg Iles

1 Mins read
The Bone Tree

This is the sequel to Greg Iles’ epic novel Natchez Burning and it tells the story of a decades-old battle in Louisiana and Mississipi between ruthless racist organisations and the forces of law and order. The Bone Tree itself is a semi-mythical dead tree in the middle of a Louisiana swamp. For many years the feared Double Eagle gang have taken their victims there to be tortured and killed. As Natchez Mayor Penn Cage and his journalist fiancée fight to bring The Double Eagles to justice, they uncover devastating evidence which leads them to the truth behind three of America’s most notorious assassinations.
