Today we welcome a new reviewer – Spriteby – to our panel. It should not surprise you to learn that she’s a lover of crime fiction, but Spriteby’s personal tastes in the genre mean we’ll be covering some new ground.
“I read mostly historical crime,” she explains, “Scandinavian crime thrillers, the Agatha Raisin novels by MC Beaton, and the Merrily Watkins novels by Phil Rickman. I’ve just discovered the Oscar Wilde Mysteries by Gyles Brandreth and the Jackson Brodie series by Kate Atkinson.”
In addition to writing for Crime Fiction Lover, she also reviews books and documents her reading experiences at Spriteby’s Bokhylle. It’s a great site and well worth checking out. We’ve already sent off a couple of novels for her to look at including Far South by David Enrique Spellman and The Man Who Never Returned by Peter Quinn. The former looks like a fascinating title, and in addition to enjoying the story you can explore short films and audio using the internet while you read the mystery.
When we invited Spriteby to join CFL, she told us that one of her aims in life is to read every single Scandinavian crime novel ever written. Once we heard that, we knew she would be the perfect addition to our team. Welcome aboard!
