Inkshares is looking for the next Michael Connelly

The crowdfunding-based publisher Inkshares is holding a new competition looking for the next big mystery and thriller writers. The contest is open now and closes on 21 November.

With its pre-order system of selecting which books to publish, Inkshares has had significant success with A Gentleman’s Murder, the Golden Age-style mystery by Christopher Huang, as well as with horror novel Kill Creek by Scott Thomas and the sci-fi book The Punch Escrow by Tal Klein. All three have been scooped up for either film or television and A Gentleman’s Murder is already in production at Endeavour Content.

To enter you’ll need to upload a draft of your novel at the competition website, and people will be able to effectively vote for it by pre-ordering it. The top three books will be the winners, along with other entries as selected by the Inkshares team. These winners will be edited, produced, distributed and promoted by Inkshares, and the company will also represent them for film and TV deals.

If you’ve written a crime fiction novel and are looking for that big break, this could be it…
