A knock comes at the door in the night and police detective Hamre arrests Veum for a crime he can’t remember if he committed or not. What follows is fast-paced page turner with a sharp, first-person narrative, and a shocking, troubling, existential and heart poundingly emotional tale. Wolves in the Dark is a treat for fans and a great place to to start if you are new to the series. A must read.
