It’s Reservoir Dogs – the game

It’s hard to believe that 25 years have passed since Quentin Tarantino brought us his own take on the hardboiled heist scenario with Reservoir Dogs. To celebrate the anniversary, the Spanish game developer Big Star, and publisher Lionsgate, are releasing Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days, a video game for PC and Xbox.

Watch the trailer below, and you’ll see that just like the film there’s plenty of over-the-top shooting along with blood splatter. But there’s a tactical element to it as well. The idea is to switch between direct control of each of the characters – Mr Blonde, Blue, Brown, Orange, Pink or White – depending on whose skillset you need to complete different elements of the heist. The hold-ups your gang tackles in the game are based on the film.

“As huge fans of Reservoir Dogs, we’re very focused on creating a highly addictive experience that stays true to the tense, dramatic vibe of this unforgettable movie,” says Liam Patton, CEO, Big Star Games. “By taking control of different characters for overlapping bursts of time, players must utilize the strengths of each squad member to carry out the game’s missions, with every move and shot creating a butterfly effect on the overall outcome.”
