For anyone looking for a new crime novel setting, it was a bit of a revelation – not many have been set in the German Democratic Republic, better known as East Germany.

David Young and his investigator Karen Muller are to return in Stasi Wolf, due for release on 9 February 2017 at £7.99. And, today, we can reveal its front cover. What do you think?Looks like there might be trains inside!

In Stasi Child, she was investigating the death of a young girl in the no man’s land between East and West. This time, she’s heading to the southern part of the country where baby twins have gone missing. The tricky part is that Halle-Neustadt, the town where they lived, is a new town and the pride of the Communist state. The Stasi intervene to stop any publicity about the case tarnishing its reputation. Yet someone is stalking its streets, looking for children…
