Celebrating the life of Jakob Arjouni

JakobArjouni

In January crime fiction lost one of its finest with the passing of German author Jakob Arjouni, who died of pancreatic cancer aged 48. He passed away before Brother Kemal, the latest and final book in his Kayankaya mystery series, was released in English. So, on Tuesday 26 November, No Exit Press and the charity Pancreatic Cancer UK will be holding a celebration of the author’s life in London.

The event will take place between 6:30 and 8pm at Daunt Books on Holland Park Avenue, and will include a live launch of Brother Kemal. Click here to pre-order a free ticket for the event and to make a donation. (You can donate even if you are not able to attend.) At the event you’ll be able to learn more about the author and about pancreatic cancer, and pick up copies of Arjouni’s books.

You can read our review of Brother Kemal here. To promote the fundraiser, on Saturday our free book draw on our Facebook page will offer you the chance to win the book and we hope you’ll spread the word about the event.
