A day with Lynda La Plante

With her work on series like Prime Suspect, Trial and Retribution and Above Suspicion, British writer Lynda La Plante is regarded by many to be the godmother of television crime drama. She’s also had huge success in the bookstores, with copies of her eight Anna Travis novels flying off the shelves like Glock slugs on a cold Manchester night. Her books have brought tough female detectives to the fore in modern British crime fiction.

You’ll get the chance to meet Lynda La Plante and discover her writing secrets at an exclusive day being held at the Sofitel Hotel in London. Starting at 8:30 am, the event offers an intensive full-day programme of Q&As, presentations and discussions about crime writing filled with tips from the author herself. She’ll be joined by Simon and Schuster executive Suzanne Baboneau, literary agent Gill Coleridge, forensic expert Callum Sutherland as well as a top TV executive who’ll reveal the secrets of making crime dramas.
