Ian Rankin to headline at Melbourne

Here’s a little bulletin for our readers down under… Get yourself over to the Crime and Justice Festival hosted in Melbourne 16-18 November, and you’ll have the chance to hear star crime author Ian Rankin speak. The festival will be celebrating 25 years since the Scottish writer first introduced us to his Edinburgh detective Rebus. And, he’ll be talking about his latest book Standing in Another Man’s Grave in which Rebus meets up with his more recent counterpart, Inspector Malcolm Fox.

While Rankin will have the role of International Patron at the festival, the Australian Patron is to be Kerry Greenwood, author of more than 20 novels including the Phyrne Fisher mysteries. You can also catch up with Peter Fitzsimmons, Stewart Littlemore, Jeff Sparrow, Garry Disher, David Day, Angela Savage and Catherine Deveny. It takes place across three venues including the Collins Street Baptist Church, The Melbourne Athenaeum Library and Reader’s Feast Bookstore.
